Description
Magenta Gladiolus Blend (Gladiolus ‘Magenta’) is a dynamic duo of vivid pink, magenta and raspberry-colored blossoms! You’ll get a vivid random mixture of baby pink Gladiolus with dark raspberry pink streaked edges, white Gladiolus with ruffled raspberry pink edges, or dramatically super saturated magenta Gladiolus! The combination is absolutely gorgeous together!
The midsummer flowering spikes attract loads of butterflies, bees, and Hummingbirds! Forming dense clumps of greenery that grow fast space-saving perennial, flowering corms! If you want a longer display and more blooms, plant a few corms every two weeks for a staggered bloom all summer!
This eye-catching blend of upright blooms also known as Sword Lilies, these flower spikes shoot up fast from corms throughout USDA growing zones 8-10 as perennials. Colder growing zones can also enjoy these as annual accents, or dig the corms up in the fall once the foliage has yellowed and store them for the winter in a frost-free location.
Planting and Application:
Regardless of garden size, you will easily tuck these narrow-growing flowering corms into existing and established gardens! This gorgeous color mixture goes well with nearly any and all other flower and foliage colors in the garden. In the cottage garden or perennial border, tall spires of blooms are perfect for creating high-impact drifts and rows in tight spots, groupings in corners, great for lining paths, or in tidy rows along a fence.
Great vertical texture in large mixed-planters, porch and patio pots, or planted as specimen groupings in tall, high-style containers, the compliments will roll in when you place one on either side of your sunny front door! Enliven a cut flower garden with this mixture of Magenta Gladiolus Blend, and everyone will love the tall, upscale vase arrangements made with these incredible, long-lasting blooms!

ProPlantTips for Care:
Gladiola corms flower their best in full sun and partial shade in a protected location or with adequate support to keep your blooms from flopping. Plant your corms in well-drained, organically rich soil that has moderate, yet consistent moisture. Deadhead after the flowers fade and keep the leaves until they turn yellow to make food for the corms. In the fall, lift your bulbs out of the ground and store them in a nylon stocking or brown paper bag in a cool, dry location with good ventilation above freezing.
