Dahlia tubers are fast growing and bloom all growing season. Plant in full sun or partial shade, they prefer a wide range of soil types as long as the location is well-drained. Ensure even moisture, by adding 3-4 inches of mulch helps considerably. Soak the tubers for a few hours before planting and plant them with their fingers spread out gently and pointing downwards.
