The Eastern White Cedar also known as the Swamp-cedar, in 1558 this tree appropriately received the name “arborvitae,” which means “tree of life.” This tree is widely cultivated as an ornamental plant. The Eastern White cedar is one slow to moderate growing conifer that has a pyramidal shape.
