The Sharpblue Southern Highbush Blueberry is a deciduous fruiting plant and is considered one of the best varieties for the southern regions. Remaining nearly evergreen in mild climates, the foliage offers a complimentary green hue before it reaches its winter dormancy. The growth habit of this blueberry bush is upright and it produces its fruit early in the season. During spring, the Sharpblue presents us with delicate white showy flowers before bearing fruit during the harvesting season. When not producing fruits normal watering, so your weekly ‘garden walk-through’ kind of watering works just fine. When this plant does start its fruit production, the is when things get a little more intricate. Depending on the type of soil you are working with, you want to keep your fruiting plant well watered but not saturated.
