A variety for mid to late summer harvest, performing best with a long day length that is accompanied with moderate heat. Imperial Broccoli is a dependable choice for growing in the northeastern summers. Domed heads are dark green with small beads and have an excellent post-harvest shelf life. Imperial Broccoli handles heat stress well.

Seed Sowing Depth:1/4 deep

StartingIndoors:4-6 weeks before the last frost.Sow 2-3 seeds per cell/pot.Thin to the strongest seedling.Fertilize the seedlings every 7-10 days with a liquid or water-soluble fertilizer, diluted toof the suggested measurement. Transplant a week or two before the last frost. Space 12-18” apart.Sowin early to midsummer for fall crops.

Harvest: Pick when heads are tight before flower buds start to open. For varieties that produce side shoots keep picked for a longer production
