Plus the floral spikes, and are just the right size and shape for hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies to be enchanted by! Orange Hyssops grow into a lush green carpet, with foliage that perfumes the air.
Blooming from May through October in most climates, these little powerhouses bloom for months! Incredibly adaptable throughout USDA growing zones 5 through 10 and only grows 11-14 inches in height when in bloom, and spreads to about 15 inches wide, these are wonderfully space-saving little perennials!
Planting and Application:
Hyssops love the sun and are drought-tolerant – making them perfect for Rock Gardens! Poquito™ has a dwarf, bushy habit that performs equally well in the sunny border, container, or mixed bed as a spiller, facer plant, or edging. Ease the transition between lawn and garden beds with long-lasting blooms! Create a lovely separation between the front lawn and sidewalk, or in that ‘hell-strip’ between the sidewalk and road!
Hyssops fill steep, hard-to-mow slopes in the sun while slowing water runoff or halting erosion while adding sunny warm color anywhere! So use that color to its maby planting en masse swaths in some of the toughest places around the landscape. Perfect for adding fragrant and bright colors to cottage and perennial borders in the sun or as edging along garden beds, or as facer plants along the foundation and hedge plantings to hide their bare lower stems! Line a path or walkway in vivid pinkish blooms that will be smothered with bees and butterflies!
POQUITO™ is a finely-textured perennial that works beautifully as groundcover and spiller in pots and planters. Dwarf Hyssop works beautifully in sunny patio and terrace planters, as well as brightening your front porch in colorful containers! Lovely spillers and fillers when mixed with other annuals and perennials, or as bright color as specimen plantings that thrive in the sun!

Deadhead to encourage rebloom and keep the plant neat and tidy. Prune back the stems in late fall, mulch the crown well, and water in well for the winter.
