Description
Westringia fruticosa, also known as Coastal Rosemary, Australian Rosemary or Coastal Westringia, is a native shrub that grows near the coast in eastern Australia. It has narrow, dark green leaves that are densely arranged in whorls around the stems, creating a neat and tidy appearance. The flowers are small, white and hairy, with purple spots on the lower lip. They bloom throughout the year, attracting bees and butterflies to the garden. Westringia fruticosa can grow up to 2 m tall and 4 m wide, but can be easily pruned and shaped to suit any size or style. It is ideal for hedges, screens, borders, rockeries, coastal gardens and containers. It can tolerate drought, frost, salt and wind, making it a very adaptable and low-maintenance plant.
